What Pet Search is

Pet Search is a UK missing pet resource operated by Monton Group Limited. It brings together two things owners usually have to find separately: clear, practical guidance on what to do when a pet goes missing, and access to professional drone search when an aerial search is genuinely suitable.

The guidance sections cover missing dogs, missing cats and drone pet search. Each guide is written to answer a specific question quickly rather than to fill a page.

The problem we help with

When a pet goes missing, most owners search on instinct. Time, daylight and energy get spent in the wrong places, and the advice available online is often contradictory or written for a different country.

Pet Search sets out the practical steps in order: report the pet, check the microchip record, search the areas most worth covering first, tell the right local networks, and keep a record of every sighting. Our missing pet checklist and poster generator exist to make those steps faster.

Professional drone search

Where an aerial search may add something a ground search cannot, Pet Search provides access to professional drone pilots through the Drone Assisted network. Pilots operate under UK Civil Aviation Authority rules, and every search depends on airspace permissions, weather, daylight, terrain and safety.

A drone search is not right for every situation. Thermal cameras cannot see through walls, roofs, dense tree cover or solid objects, and thermal imaging does not require darkness to work. Our drone search checker gives an honest indication of whether an aerial search may suit your circumstances before you request help.

A drone search does not guarantee recovery. Suitability depends on the information available, terrain, visibility, weather, airspace and operational safety.
